Lowell Dean Bosse, 81, of Wheaton, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Lowell was born on April 3, 1944, at Onaga; the son of Ivan and Sophie Kolle Bosse. He graduated from Wheaton High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Lowell was a successful farmer and stockman. He loved working and spending time building up his farm.
He attended the Wamego Family Worship Center and Lakeview Faith Chapel in Holton. Lowell had a deep love for the Lord and spent hours discussing spiritual perspectives with his kids later in life.
He married Sandra Hammerle on December 31, 1965, in Kansas City, Kansas. She survives. Lowell and Sandy had a love that was a testament to many.
Lowell was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Condray.
Other survivors include three sons, Kenneth "Dean" Bosse, Wheaton, Mark Allen Bosse (Jill), Grainfield, KS, and Chad Richard Bosse (Emily), Elk Pointe, SD, a daughter, Jami Lee Bosse, Emmett, one brother, Kenneth Bosse (Marcia), Independence, KS, two sisters, DeAnn Clements (Harlow), Shawnee, KS, and Donna May Spencer (Lynn), Bentonville, AR, a brother-in-law, Jerry Condray, Pratt, twelve grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26th at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Onaga. Burial will follow in St. Luke South Cemetery. Lowell will lie in state after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, where a visitation will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Lakeview Faith Chapel, and may be sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box 312, Onaga, KS 66521.
